Levring House is located at the end of a mews in the Bloomsbury conservation area. The new four-storey house occupies a prominent corner plot. The superstructure is a reinforced concrete in situ frame, with the top story created from a steel frame and clad in patinated bronze.
The house's interior is planned around a generous lightwell that ensures every room can be filled with natural light. There are also several balcony terraces, responding to the clients' desire for indoor and outdoor space.
We provided all mechanical and electrical services. The house is highly insulated and airtight, with all heating requirements provided by ground heat through a series of five 180m deep boreholes below the basement slab. The 14-metre-long marble-clad swimming pool at basement level is also naturally warmed from the ground heat source.
